My life ... and how JWD came to be - Part 5
by Simon inmy life ... and how jwd came to be - part 1. my life ... and how jwd came to be - part 2. my life ... and how jwd came to be - part 3. my life ... and how jwd came to be - part 4. i swear, i thought it was only a couple of years at most since i wrote part 4 of "my life and how jwd came to be".
i re-read it after someone posted to it and brought it back on active topics and it was kind of prophetic in a way ... well, i had the 5 years part right if nothing else:.
it would be nice to visit the site (or whatever one is around then) in 5 years time to let people know how we're doing and find only a few of the same people still around.

I'm glad this has recently been commented on because I too missed it on the first go-round. I can't see how that is even POSSIBLE, but I don't recall reading any of this at any earlier time, and I haven't left any indications of an earlier presence.
Simon, have you and the family has a chance to visit Vancouver BC or Victoria?
I Vancouver, though it has been quite a while since I've been there. It is a great metropolis! Victoria, on the other hand, is more like a carefully preserved artifact of Old Canada - still delightful, but in a totally different way.
If you drive to Victoria - which involves a ferry crossing - then you can drive into the northern reaches of Vancouver Island and quickly see how underpopulated it is. The island's west coast is wild and undeveloped and the east coast only very slightly more populated. Top off your petrol at EVERY opportunity, and do not expect civilization to be close-at-hand.
By the way, I was unable to get Part One to show itself. Certainly your story should be in the JWN permanent archives.

exJW Psychology 101--Keeping Your Cool While Fading
by Billy the Ex-Bethelite inin an effort to get some help and hopefully help others, i'd like to start this thread about psychology, specifically starting with the subject of anger management.. .
personally, i don't have much of a temper.
what i do have, i've learned to control.

If it wasn't for anger I wouldn't be in this game. My anger is seldom on public display, unless you count some of my posts here.
Anger is the nitromethane that fuels my XJW turbocharged funny car.
Koheleth might have added another verse; "There is a time for anger and a time for reconcilliation."
The legendary Jesus chased the money changers out of the temple. What mood do you think he was in at that moment?
Don't apologize for your anger, learn to USE it, Sith-like, to contribute to the desolation of the Brooklyn Abomination.
If only a handful of Bible Students had the chops to jump Rutherford in 1920 and drop his body into the East River, think of what a better world we'd be in today!

The TOPIC which may never be discussed!
by Terry inquestion: how does the leadership of jehovah's witnesses instruct its members to prepare for the eventual elder care of its members?.
answer: it pretends it will never happen!.
is this responsible leadership or some kind of cognitive dissonant malfeasance?.

Question: How does the leadership of Jehovah's Witnesses instruct its members to prepare for the eventual Elder Care of its members?
Answer: IT PRETENDS it will never happen! but it also tells them that when they die, their estate should go to the WTB&TS.

The MYSTERY of the Society's BETH-SHAN secret cult compound
by Terry in1945 black and white photo of beth-shan (now hand colored):.
beth-shan house built in 1939, ten years after beth-sarim on adjacent property.
beth-shan, which means "house of security" in hebrew, was literally a house of security -(cult compound)*- it was accessed by a single dirt road that was guarded and gated.

I wonder how much Coca-Cola stock is owned by the WTB&TS or one of their false-front businesses?

Looking for a certain Watchtower Magazine
by truthlover1991 ini don't know if this is the right place to put this topic, so feel free to correct me.
i'm looking for the watchtower magazine (in any format, pdf, scan, etc) from april 1st, 1979. the one which talks about how jesus is not the mediator for all mankind.
i know it might be an elusive magazine to get ahold of, but if any of you reading this have a vast watchtower magazine library, would you consider helping out a fellow?
